Free Up Your Hands with the Red Hatter's ChatelaineThe
first Chatelaines were made and used during the Victorian era in the 1800s.
The lady seamstresses wore them around their necks with all the sewing
things at their fingertips.
There was a small pincushion attached for pins and needles and pockets on
front and back for thimbles, scissors, pencil, notepads etc.
The Quilters of today use them. The Red Hatters
have found them quite useful to display all their treasured pins, carry their
red and purple pens, Red Hat calling cards, hotel room key cards, change,
autograph books, and note pads in the pockets on front and back.
We need to free up our hands so we can eat chocolate and inspect our
purchases.
The
Chatelaine is ready for you to put your own trims of glitz such as sequins,
braid, lace, feathers, fringe or whatever to make it you r very own and not like
all the others. Refer to the photo
for ideas. Use Aleen’s original
Tacky Glue or other OK To Wash It glues for the trim. For the rhinestones you will need special glue.
